Nelly and Reebok have announced a long-term partnership

In my Hip-Hop Class, we have talked a lot about fashion and fashion trends. Fashion is a huge part of today's Hip-hop in my opinion. It represents your own personal unique style. A lot of Hip-Hop artists wear the most expensive clothes and shoes to show that they have money. Other Hip-Hop artists wear clothes to represent them and their crew. For example, G-Unit...even I have a few G-Unit shirts in my closet...and why....because it's "cool" and I like G-Unit so I will rock an outfit with thier name on it. Fashion trends represent people and their styles in so many different ways.

I just read an article about Nelly and Reebok. They have decided to partner and the new line will be launched this Holiday season of 2005. The collection features clean, aggressive, sport-inspired designs with unique colors and materials that reflect Nelly's personal style and flavor. Nelly and Reebok are perfect examples of Hip-Hop Fashion Trends.

Personally, I still rock Reeboks-they are really comforatble and I like the style. I am interested to see what the new line will look like, espcially since Nelly is creating the new styles. Having a Hip-Hop artist create designs and styles really targets certain audiences and promotes Hip-Hop to everyone who is interested.

good blog! i think that is so interesting! i wonder if he will make shoes too, who makes Air Force Ones? haha remember that song? (i hope that was Nelly) anyway, i think it is interesting that he is taking a contract with Nike which will be sure to cost more than ppl should be paying for those clothes. like we talked about in class, the roots of hiphop came out of no money and other factors, and now the big starts are producing the pricey-ist things the can, or so it seems, doesnt really make much sense to me, if most of the kids in NY cant even afford it...
